Zimbabwe’s Victoria Falls welcomes Air Tanzania

Air Tanzania today landed in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, on its maiden flight to one of the world’s top holiday destinations.

Airports Company of Zimbabwe (ACZ) attributed the new direct link to the successful implementation of an Open Skies Policy designed to foster regional integration.

“Airports Company of Zimbabwe Private Limited is thrilled to welcome Air Tanzania’s inaugural flight from Dar es Salaam to Victoria Falls International Airport, an arrival that reinforces Zimbabwe’s standing as a premier destination of choice,” ACZ said.

“As we transition into the National Development Strategy 2 (NDS2), such strategic aviation partnerships are critical drivers for tourism growth and infrastructure utilisation, directly propelling us towards the realisation of Vision 2030, transforming Zimbabwe into an empowered upper-middle-income society.

“ACZ is at the core of providing world-class airport services that connect Zimbabwe to the rest of the continent and the world, ensuring that \"the smoke that thunders\" is only a direct flight away for our regional and international partners; leaving no one and no place behind.”

This comes as Zimbabwe was named as the best country to visit in the world in 2025 by Forbes Magazine.
